I don't know why it took me so long to find this, but I love it. I always loved Saria. And you know, I think she knew Link better than anyone else ever did; she recognised him even after his body had changed so much.

Your gallery is amazing, and I really like this one! I have Ocarina of Time 3DS remake and I can never forget how many times I got stuck and had to look at walkthroughs haha I pulled lots of hair out because of this game LOL... If you don't mind me asking, what software did you use to draw this? Thanks!
Speaking of fanfiction, something I've never understood is that there are several fanfictions where Saria willingly becomes a Hylian so she and Link can be together, but I've never seen one where Link willingly becomes a Kokiri (thus keeping him a child and limited to being in the forest forever) so he can be with Saria. Someone should write a (actually good, detailed, and not rushed) fanfiction about that as well.
I think that is actually a rumor among the Kokiri that is actually false because at the end of the game Kokiri children are seen quite clearly outside of the forest partying with all the other races of Hyrule. I think it was made to protect them as Kokiri would most likely get killed due to their smaller and weaker bodies. What's the best way to keep them from getting killed? make sure they don't go in the first place, and if it was a rule put down by the Great Deku Tree than there would be the occasional rebel that would break the rule and get himself killed.
Link on the other hand might be able to break that fear as he already knows how to defend himself. All he would need is a witness as the Kokiri didn't believe him when he leaves and comes back. then the Kokiri might be more willing to explore a bit more.
I have always imagined Link and Saria as a couple. Me personally, I wouldn't love a mother figure in a romantic way. But between Link and Saria, their love is incredibly strong. Not only was Saria his mother figure, she was also his best friend in a forest full of judging peers. It doesn't matter their age or race, they should be together. More so than Zelda, a girl who lived a life of luxury and could never know Link's pain, much less understand it. Saria is the perfect match for Link in my opinion.
I would bring him together with Malon simple 'cause I think the LonLon-Farm is a better home for the grown-up Link as the Kokiri-Forest... But this is like your own love... you have t decide on your own.
