Has anyone noticed that when I say that I’m going to do something, I usually tend to go ahead and do everything but that thing? Like when I say, “I’m going to be active again,” or, “I’m going to make fanart for X,” or, “I’m going to post my old Neopets doodles at a rate faster than I make new ones.” Sorry about that, but at least I’m consistent about inconsistency… or something.

In any event… the Hookshot has always been one of my favorite Zelda items, and I wanted a real one when I was a kid. I always got a thrill from firing the Hookshot in the game.

The Forest Temple is one of my favorite dungeons in OoT, but I’ve always been struck by that one open outdoor courtyard because it’s so different in atmosphere from the rest of the dungeon. It’s almost eerie because it’s such a bright, sunny sanctuary in the midst of the spooky halls and haunted paintings. I enjoy using the Hookshot in that area, hence this.

I love it how I could immediately tell that it was the Forest Temple!! That was one of my favorite temples as well -- so many mysteries about it! Awesome job on the background and the pose!! :)

Thank you very much, I'm glad the location is recognizable and I'm happy you like the background and pose! =) Yes, I loved the mysterious atmosphere of this place; it had a spooky, eerie quality that was intriguing and a sense of history behind it as well.

Agreed! Yes! I think that's what I miss from some of the newer dungeons (with some exceptions) -- all of the dungeons from OoT just seemed to have history! :)

The treasure chest in this open bit area I could never get to ... I never used the Scarecrow's song. :P

Oh God, the Forest Temple...The background music scared the crap out of me when I was there.  The whooshing sound of the Wallmasters approaching didn't help, either.  The battle against Phantom Ganon was pretty cool, though.  And I loved the scene with the Deku Tree Sprout after I cleared the temple.  :-)

The Deku Tree Sprout is one of my favorite cutscenes too, haha, it's amusing and the sprout is so cute. xD Wallmasters will always be one of the most terrifying/annoying Zelda enemies, though, right up there with Redeads. :P The Forest Temple admittedly can be pretty creepy, though in a cool way I thought. For some reason the part that made me most nervous was that block maze area with the bubbles floating around; I found it claustrophobic or something.

I thought it was called a clawshot... But I played only Twilight Princess and I started Skyward Sword. Can you tell me from which game is this pic? :D

Ocarina of Time, where it was called a Hookshot, and Longshot after it was upgraded. =)

Yeah, the Forest Temple is my favorite dungeon in Oot as well, both because of the eerie, surreal atmosphere (helped by the fact that you're already in a strange new world as Adult Link) and because the game's already given you a really strong emotional connection to Saria and the Lost Woods before sending you into it as a dungeon.

Also, timeline-wise I think the Forest Temple and the Skyview Temple are the same place.

Actually, my fav is technically the Longshot, but I call the Longshot a Hookshot. lol :D
Not that I dislike the name at all. It's clever. I just like the way "Hookshot" sounds better. :)

Oh, yeah, I agree. I think of Hookshot as being the item type and the Longshot as being an upgrade, but the basic item name is still Hookshot, heh.

OMG! I've played this game! :D

Haven't beaten it yet! At the part where you are about to go to Ganondorf's castle and save Zelda.

Playing the 3Ds version.

Ahaha, now I feel old--when I was a kid, Ocarina of Time was newfangled and the classics were the 2D console games. xD Maybe you can point your friends towards the 3DS remake of this game; it's definitely worth introducing to a new generation!

The Poe Sisters are awesome, I always thought they gave the place an element of character and added to the eerie atmosphere. Thank you, and great icon!

The color is excellent, so is the perspective.
But I don't get a dynamic feel from it, it doesn't look that he's being dragged by the hookshot that much.

Just my two cents, though, nice work.

You're very talented with the digital art(I'm not used to draw in a computer at all. Something really odd since I'm not that old)

If you can, check some of my work.
