Has anyone noticed that when I say that I’m going to do something, I usually tend to go ahead and do everything but that thing? Like when I say, “I’m going to be active again,” or, “I’m going to make fanart for X,” or, “I’m going to post my old Neopets doodles at a rate faster than I make new ones.” Sorry about that, but at least I’m consistent about inconsistency… or something.

In any event… the Hookshot has always been one of my favorite Zelda items, and I wanted a real one when I was a kid. I always got a thrill from firing the Hookshot in the game.

The Forest Temple is one of my favorite dungeons in OoT, but I’ve always been struck by that one open outdoor courtyard because it’s so different in atmosphere from the rest of the dungeon. It’s almost eerie because it’s such a bright, sunny sanctuary in the midst of the spooky halls and haunted paintings. I enjoy using the Hookshot in that area, hence this.

You definitely captured what you meant to, because I could just tell that this was the Forest Temple courtyard before reading your description. Great job overall, too!

I think all the elements of the picture work together to give it the effect it has.

Honestly, I just don't usually think that hard about my own art. :P
