I'm a fan of a lot of things, and I've been drawing pictures of them practically since I could hold a pen, so I figure I may as well share them here. Most of the fanart I post is of Zelda, with occasional pieces from Neopets, Pokemon, or other video games.

I enjoy video games, cartoon shows, and animated films (both 2D and 3D) in my free time... as can probably be guessed!
Interests
This is a general announcement to say that I will probably return to officially being active on DA around the end of May. I may be around sporadically before then (as I have been lately), but I'm probably not going to make a serious effort to catch up on correspondence until late in the month.

In the meantime, I'm going to start uploading some non-Zelda fanart that I've made over the course of the past year—mostly Neopets. I stopped uploading Neopets stuff here a couple of years ago because I was doing very quick doodles for the Art Gallery that usually just didn't look finished enough to post, but I realized recently that I have almost nothing in my Neopets folder here, which is a terrible injustice given that Neopets was what got me to join DA in the first place. So, I'm going to be gradually posting my backlog of Art Gallery entries from the past couple years. Most of them are small cartoons that aim to convey some sort of visual gag and are not really on the level of finished pieces.

The last thing I want to say is that I saw The Avengers last week and it was unbelievably awesome. I would have immediately made fanart if not for the fact that I had exams coming up (so consider this paragraph a fanart raincheck). I didn't grow up with superhero comics—as a kid, I eagerly read and memorized Carl Barks's duck comics and Tintin and Asterix and various newspaper strips, but the stories and characters in superhero comics never grabbed me in the same way as Uncle Scrooge and Calvin and Hobbes. Still, I am a huge fan of what Marvel has been doing with their characters in their movies, and I was really impressed that they were able to succeed with a film on the scale of The Avengers.

Just to inform you, I was on the Colours! 3D art gallery and I was looking at "This week's best" and I happened to see your Lost Windows: Gohma artwork in that gallery. I don't know if you drew it but I think that they might have stolen it. It is under the name of 'The legend of Zelda - Wind Waker...' I couldn't read the rest, but they claimed it as their own.
If I can I will try to find a link to it because I found it on my 3DS.

Wow. Thank you for informing me of this and posting the link. I definitely did not draw it, and I'm not happy that he's used his own signature on it without giving credit for the original image.

It looks like quite a few of the pictures on the site are copies of official art and occasionally fanart. I'm going to have to look into what can be done, but I really appreciate knowing about it. Thanks for telling me.

You're welcome! I like the paper cutout style you used, and the lonely atmosphere of the night sky and empty waters contrasted with the friendly interaction taking place between Link and the Merman. I always really liked those little fish guys, too.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you like my stuff! One of the things I've always tried to do with my work is depict stories and scenes, so I'm very happy that stood out to you. =)

Thank you very much for the links! Purplekecleon's advice is always an incredibly enlightening read.

Speedpainting is something I always wanted to do, but whenever I tried, I always went over the time limit. I've been meaning to try again for exactly the reasons mentioned there, so I definitely will when I have more time.

My problem isn't going over the time limit, but thinking the speedpaint sucked TAT but that's what PK said, speedpaints are a good way for you to fail many times and not lose much time with them. i made one yesterday, will try doing more. i also gotta know WHAT to speedpaint xD
